Artist's Comments

I know, it's terrible. In my defence, I've never used charcoal for anything much let alone ever for a face. So this is indeed my first try. I can't control charcoal at all - it feels really weird and smudgey and i feel like a small 6 year old trying out media for the first time in a frantic and bewilderedly uninformed fashion. Yes, rather embarassing.

I'm only posting this on here so I can signify a base point from which to improve and then hopefully look back fondly in a year or so and say to myself "Hahaha look how crap you were!" before i walk away in the comfort that I've improved since then.

This is suppose to be terrible? Man, I have to see what you consider "good"! o_O

"You look pretty good for someone who was just hit by a car."
"Thus being the only time it can be said that I 'look good'."
- Said after I was hit by a car.

I like it, erm, I like everything on it but the neck and all that really needs to look less, ... leveled? (I'm not sure what word I'm looking for), is a little bit of blending.

But I do like it. The eyes are sparkly. :bounce:

That's awesome, it's great that you're keeping at it despite your numerous complaints against charcoal. :P
